Kevin ”Kyze” Ravenell Succumbs To Cancer

Kevin “Kyze” Ravenell, the producer best known for his work with rapper N.O.R.E., passed away yesterday (October 17) following a two-year battle with cancer. He died in New York and for the last couple of years had been battling prostate cancer.
He produced several tracks for N.O.R.E. aka Norega. Their collaborations stretched as far back as 1999, when Kyze produced tracks for N.O.R.E.’s album Melvin Flynt – Da Hustler.
He most recently produced N.O.R.E.’s “I Understand” and “Bottles Go Bang.”

Rapper Releases Viral Video To Reveal Album Title

Rapper N.O.R.E. has announced he has an upcoming album in the works, entitled S.U.P.E.R.T.H.U.G. The rapper released a viral video that was shot with a flipcam as he hung out in New York. In the vid he confirms the new title for what will be his eighth album, including his releases with partner Capone. Capone-N-Noreaga just released War Report 2 earlier this month. ?You see me, you see me? On my joint. This is my hood,? N.O.R.E. said jokingly for the camera. ?I?m in Left Rack City, in New York City when I drop my new album. I?m in my hood. No security.?
It had been rumored that his album title would be N.O.R.E. Pt 2: Born Again, but the rapper has changed it to the name that fans will remember as the title of his biggest hit single from 1998. N.O.R.E. also debuted his new song ?The NutCracker? that night on Funkmaster Flex?s show.
