Nigerian Songwriter Receives Label Chain In London

Rapper Kanye West celebrated his G.O.O.D. Music imprint’s signing of Nigerian singer-songwriter D’banj by showcasing the artist for adoring fans in London. West welcomed D’banj into the G.O.O.D. Music family by presenting his newest signee with a G.O.O.D. Music chain in front of the crowd.

“I don’t know if y’all heard or not, but D’banj is a new artist on G.O.O.D. Music,” West said after performing his hit “All of the Lights.”

West bowed and hugged D’Banj after presenting him with the chain. West himself was presented with a Roc-A-Fella chain in the early 2000s after he was signed as a new artist to Jay’s former label.

Rapper Launching Clothing Line

Kanye West is reportedly prepping his first clothing collection to debut during New York Fashion Week. The rapper’s line is targeting women. He plans to launch the line this fall.

After interning at Fendi and launching a collection of scarves, West has established a firm foothold in the world of fashion.

The rapper/producer has also designed for Louis Vuitton.
