Lil Wayne & Eminem Headline Bonnaroo

Festival Looks To Be Heavy On Hip-Hop

The tenth year anniversary of Bonnaroo will feature the popular festival’s most hip-hop-oriented lineup yet.

Following Jay-Z’s 2010 headlining gig, rappers Eminem and Lil Wayne will be headlining the 2011 show. It ;marks Em’s third major festival this year, with the rapper slated to headline Chicago’s Lollapalooza, and reportedly Britain’s Glastonbury festival as well. Wiz Khalifa, Big Boi, J. Cole are scheduled to appear.

Bonnaroo takes place in Manchester, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville, and this year’s show will feature over 125 acts performing on a massive, 700-acre farm.

Big Boi & J.D. Headline Fall Inspire Show

Atlanta Concert Kicks Off In September

Atlanta superstars Jermaine Dupri and Big Boi are set to headline Heineken’s Inspire Tour, which continues next month in Atlanta.

Tickets for the event go on sale today (August 16th) and the show will take place September 4th. Inspire is an invitation-only event that brings top-shelf entertainers to various venues around the country and is one of the most unique annual events in hip-hop. The concert series is currently in it’s 5th year.

This year?s annual Black August Hip Hop Project Concert will featuring headlining performances from Pharoahe Monch, Brand Nubian’s Sadat X and dead prez. The Black August concert promotes human rights and raises awareness about political prisoners who are unjustly incarcerated worldwide and is now in its 13th year.

With a history that includes performances by Talib Kweli, Mos Def, the Roots, Fat Joe and EPMD, the Black August show has become one of hip-hop’s most revered annual concerts.
