Rapper’s Equipment Cause For Concern

Outspoken rapper Lupe Fiasco was detained at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) yesterday (November 17.) It is being reported that some type of technical equipment in the rapper’s belongings wasn’t allowed on the plane.

“WOW…Fresh outta handcuffs @ LAX,” Lupe tweeted. “Airport PD officer was just doing way too much,” Lupe tweeted. “Even OD’d on TSA…let the arrest get before the CHARGES. We good tho…#TimeForPrivateJets.”

The rapper seemed to take it all in stride, however. And he was still able to make a performance in Rhode Island that night.

“Shout to all the good airport cops and TSA folks…don’t let the bad apples spoil the bunch!!” Lupe said.

The Michael Thelin directed video features a cameo from Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka.

“‘Out of My Head’ is such a dope song and easily one of my favorite collaborations to date,” Trey said about the track. “When Lupe first played the track for me I knew it was going to be a smash, and I’m happy it’s been received so well. The MTV Movie Awards are such a special event, and Lupe is a great performer, so I am excited to be able to do the show with him.”

Producer Claims MC Is ”Afraid to Fail”

While fans clamor for a new Lupe Fiasco album, his former producer, Prolyfic, took to Twitter to blast the Chicago MC for a number of things. The producer tweeted at length about he perceives to be Fiasco’s character and career issues.

“Ok FIRST off I really like @LupeFiasco as an artist.. I enjoy listenin to his music.. when it?s available to listen to? that being said?This n***a @LupeFiasco really be on some scared of failure as shit? He is his own worst enemy? and he?s f*cking up ROYALLY

I mean where do I begin? how does Such a talented individual like @LupeFiasco become such a utter disappointment? And it?s his own doin

it?s like u forgot what got u here in the first damn place! u was set up to be ?The One? not a reflection of what ur name means @LupeFiascoThere is NO reason why u shouldn?t be mentioned in the same conversations as Drake or wayne etc? Ppl say ?who?? when u mention @LupeFiasco& why do they do that? cuz @LupeFiasco is to damn scared to fail! he lacks the HEART to take a risk! Lupe’s album, tentatively-titled Lasers, has been rumored to be in the works for years, but Lupe has said that his label, Atlantic has shelved the album indefinitely. Fans started an online petition to get the album released, but no word on whether it not it will see the streets any time soon.
