-Eminem and Rihanna new song “Love The Way You Lie” has now peaked to number #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 which ends Katy Perry’s six week run at number #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with California Gurls which features rapper Snoop Dogg.
Love The Way You lie is Eminem’s fourth single to reach number #1 and is Rihanna’s seventh single to reach number #1. Rihanna now has the most number one singles since first appearing on the Hot 100 in 2005. The single has also moved into the top ten of the Billboard Pop Charts this week, which gives the Bajan R&B singer her fifteenth top ten single. Rihanna’s single Rockstar 101 which features Slash also climbs to number #2 on the Billboard club charts.

Rihanna first appeared on the Hot 100 the week of June 11, 2005, when “Pon De Replay” debuted at No. 97 on its way to a No. 2 peak. She reached No. 1 for the first time May 13, 2006, with “SOS.” Since, she has ruled with “Umbrella,” “Take a Bow,” “Disturbia” and “Rude Boy” and as a featured act on T.I.’s “Live Your Life” and the chart’s new No. 1.

With its ascent on the latter list, Rihanna passes Madonna for second-most top 10s in the chart’s 17-year archives. With 15 top 10s, Rihanna trails only Mariah Carey for the highest top 10 sum.

In other news, Bajan and R&B singer Shontelle continues to rise with her hit Impossible which rebounds on the Hot 100 reaching a new peak of number #13.
R&B singer Usher also continues to rise on the charts, with his latest single DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love which debuts at number #19 on the Hot 100. This makes it Ushers second top twenty hit from his platinum selling album Raymond vs Raymond and the single is the follow up from his smash hit dance single OMG.
Kanye West’s latest single isn’t doing too well as it drops to number #60 in its third week after originally debuting at number #20.
Ciara’s first single from her fourth album Basic Instinct continues to rise on the charts with Ride which features Ludacris now reaching a new peak of number #42 on the Hot 100 but still peaks at number #5 on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts.
