Rapper Praises His Relationship With the Label

Rapper Wiz Khalifa revealed who he wants to have on his Atlantic Records debut–and the youngster appears to want to work with some of the most respected veterans in hip hop [video here]. The rapper has also voiced his enthusiasm regarding Atlantic’s support of his vision.
“It’s been awesome, you know what I’m saying, just working with a lot of people over there that completely understand my movement and what I’m doing,” Wiz said about his relationship with Atlantic. “‘Black & Yellow,’ the single, just how that worked out. Me pushing it to them and them really going hard with it. It’s a great marriage that we got going on.”
“It’s definitely new energy, it’s a lot of motivation for the project, and it’s understanding going forward…I wanna work with Cam’ron, trying to get Cam’ron on the album. [Twitter trending topic] ‘CamronSays,’ Cam’ron’s my man, a lot of people don’t know I started that. I did, me. Shout-out to Killa. I want to get Killa on the album. I want to get 8Ball & MJG, I want to get Devin the Dude on the album, Snoop [Dogg] of course. And if anything else happens, it’ll be a classic collaboration that nobody expects.”

”I’m Gonna Try To Keep It Feature-Free”

Rapper J. Cole stopped by St. Louis’ 104.1 to chat it up with the station’s new host, rapper Nelly, The young rapper spoke at length about his upcoming debut and revealed that he doesn’t plan on having a bevy of guest stars.
“We had an October 26th release date — but it’s feeling more like November, December,” Cole told rapper/radio host Nelly. “I ain’t put the title out yet, I’m real secretive on my titles. I want it to come out a certain way. It’s sounding incredible…I just did the song that I’m going to put Jay on. That’s going to be the only feature. I might get one more special, special guest. I feel it’s something special to come out and not have the whole album with a feature. I’m gonna try to keep it feature-free.”

– Singer Rihanna is due to make her debut on the silver screen in Peter Berg’s Battleship. It is not clear what happens with her character in the story, but Rihanna will be starring alongside famous faces such as Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgard. Surprisingly, Rihanna hasn’t yet starred in an feature length films. However, there have been many rumours about her playing different parts in several movies, but none have turned out to be true in the end.
The singer currently has a song at the top of he music charts, “Love The Way You Lie” which is a duet with Eminem.
Kitsch has worked with Peter Berg before after starring in the TV series Friday Night Lights. It is reported that Battleship is due to be released in May of 2012. Many people are eagerly awaiting Rihanna’s debut acting role.
We have yet to see any kind of acting from the star, but if her music career is anything to go by then movie goers are certainly in for a treat. The singer has been in and out of the media non stop, so it would be nice to see what reporters will have to say when she makes her acting debut. Predictions show that the film could be a hit, and adding Rihanna to the mix can do nothing but good things. The star has already sold millions of albums, so let’s hope her acting career goes the same way.
