Producer Crafting Follow-Up To Eminem Classic

Superproducer Swizz Beatz is crafting an unofficial sequel to one of hip-hop’s most celebrated tracks. Beatz has confirmed that he’s currently working on a song that revisits Eminem’s classic single “Stan.” Released in 2000 on Em’s masterwork, The Marshall Mathers LP, Stan told the chilling story of an obsessed fan. Beatz has tapped Lil Wayne for a song called “Anne,” which he says picks up where Em’s original left off.
“Off my album, there was a lot of controversy over this before,” Swizz explained to MTV. “The Eminem album before [Recovery], Relapse, I submitted a beat to him called ‘Stan 2.’ When I was doing an interview and they said, ‘What you working on?’ [Em] was amongst the people in the lineup I submitted things for. I said, ‘I did a track for Eminem called “Stan 2.” ‘ So it got out of hand in the media. He didn’t want to do ‘Stan 2.’”
“But what I have on my album is a song called ‘Anne’ with Wayne, which is crazy. To connect the story of what we saying with Snoop, taking something that people remember and putting them in that time and taking it to the next level, the way that Wayne tells ‘Anne,’ he’s sorry what happened to Stan. The album is crazy.”

Apparently, its ‘on to the next one’ for Swizz Beatz.
The man Kanye West dubbed ‘best producer of all time’ has recently leftUniversal Motown and will release his next album with EverestEntertainment via Atlantic /Warner. Beatz states that, “Both Everest and Atlantic/Warner teams have been great,” but there is no word yet on whether Swizz Beatz has discarded Full Surface, his label founded in 2001 under Atlantic/Warner, for the move.
Everest Entertainment has only produced films until this project, butBeatz feels confident about the venture. “2010 I feel is my graduation year,” Swizz added. “So I want tograduate my brand, my image, my music, my sound, and my reach,everything.”
